Home Tour: Strategic Restoration of a North Las Vegas Home

When Maverick Design + Wedgewood Homes first visited this North Las Vegas home, we knew we were the right team for the job. Tired and worn, this home was the perfect blank slate for our team’s renovation expertise. The main goal of this strategic renovation was to create a beautifully updated home for our future homeowner while celebrating some of its wonderful existing features.
An essential aspect of the success of this renovation was to bring some character and individuality into this rinse-and-repeat 2004-built track home. Utilizing an elevated finish palette, including a hand-selected paint scheme accompanied by a contemporary fixture package, Maverick Design and Wedgewood Homes showcased existing features in a new way. We created a modernized interior by replacing laminate countertops with clean, white quartz and builder-grade tile with beautiful LVP flooring throughout. Simple and effective updates delivered a stunning and functional home that will carry it through another 20 years and beyond.
Here at Maverick Design, we never underestimate the power of paint and are continually exploring new colors as a great way to add a special touch. Gauntlet Gray by Sherwin Williams has become one of our favorite colors and was the perfect accent wall in the primary bedroom. The feature created with custom trim work anchored the space while giving this home the character and individuality it deserved.
Sustainability is always a top priority for all of our renovation projects, and salvaging materials and enhancing existing features where we can is one way we achieve this. By tiling the raised concrete patio in the backyard, we created a unique feature for outdoor living. We also gave new life to this kitchen by providing a complete refresh to the fully functioning existing cabinets that gave this space a custom look. These strategies of exploring custom cosmetic updates that create an impactful design, eliminate construction waste, minimize renovation costs, and allow our teams to move quickly in bringing a beautiful home to a low-supply housing market for our future homeowners to enjoy and make their own!
Always working as a team to make sure our homes look their absolute best (as we like to say, putting the “we” in Wedgewood), our backyard appeal was brought to us in part by our two of our team members. Our Project Manager and Acquisition Manager spent the weekend laying sod to add the final touch to the outdoor living space and truly completed this home.
