When we first laid eyes on this charming Spanish bungalow, it was already brimming with potential. Situated on a generous corner lot in a desirable pocket of Glendale, this 1920's home boasted plenty of character. Over the years, the home's floor plan had been modified and compartmentalized, so our goal was to improve the flow while celebrating the existing architecture. Maverick Design + Wedgewood Homes came together to revitalize the home and reimagine it for today's buyer. We enhanced the kitchen by opening it up to the dining and living room areas. We also created a better flow through the common spaces to the entertainer's backyard. Keeping in mind our buyer's need for work from home spaces; we created a flexible, creative workspace with custom millwork. We also enhanced the primary bedroom to include custom dual closets and a spacious en suite bathroom.
Throughout the home, Maverick Design selected new finishes to give the house a fresh take on a modern Spanish design. The final product boasted a vibrant exterior curb appeal and modern interior full of rich finishes and textures. This home's beautiful transformation is highlighted by the backyard oasis, including an outdoor dining space with new custom privacy screens, herb garden boxes, and plenty of sitting and entertaining areas.
